Before the war, Kosovo had over 9000 hectares of vineyards with over a 2000 year history of winemaking. In 2008, Kosovo was recognized as an independent state.

Both Uruguay and Bordeaux’s vineyards are planted close to estuaries and rivers and are relatively humid and mild in climate with sufficient wind and rain. And the wine is something to dial into!

So I was quite excited to taste this producer’s rosé The wine is a blend of 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvèdre grapes sourced from the stony limestone vineyards located in the hills above the bay of Marseille, next to Provence. This soft pink blend has delicate aromas of rose petals, cherry and sweet melon. Alcohol: 12.8%.
