The cashier was nice, which made the experience even better, as did the instant satisfaction of tucking away a very large, very warm, very full plastic bag on the floor of my front seat. It was also familiar, a modicum of casual comfort as the omicron wave crested in Los Angeles.

Indoor seating is better if you can get it, but bring a coat in case you end up outdoors instead. Walk-ins can be seated but usually take longer. La Ciccia is a relatively affordable place for casually elegant dining in San Francisco, and I appreciated that when I dropped in for an early dinner. Make a Reservation. La Taqueria.
