On a recent trip to Sicily, I had the opportunity to explore the wine regions in the Southeastern part of the island, including a special visit to Vittoria. However, today my article focuses on Vittoria, explaining why this is such a special part of Sicily and introducing a few of its wineries.

With thirteen wine regions and over 102,000 hectares of vineyards, Germany boasts the world’s largest vineyard area of 23,000 hectares dedicated to Riesling! More than half of all the vineyard areas in the Mosel, Rheingau, and Mittelrhein are planted with Riesling. VDP is not part of the official German wine law.

The nigiri specials are always on point, and I suggest you try them, but if you prefer a specialty roll, the firecracker and the sunshine rolls are excellent options. Equally delicious is the fish.
