The vineyards here benefit from moderating influences of the Atlantic Ocean, Long Island Sound, and Peconic Bay, creating minimum fluctuation in temperatures, extending the growing season, and allowing the grapes to develop more complexity and acidity. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Fresh and light. Alcohol: 12.5%

And I can’t think of a better setting for sipping wine than to be surrounded by medieval villages, castles, beautiful landscapes and miles of terraced wine vineyards! Sloped vineyards leading down to the Main River. During medieval times winemaking grew and there were over 40,000 hectares of vineyards in Franken.

Some of the oldest wine areas in Bordeaux exist in this rural region with its gently rolling hills and fields of endless vineyards. Bordeaux has approximately 111,200 hectares of vineyards and is France’s largest AOC. With over 950 producers here, there is a lot of diversity geographically and in the wine.

In 1987, Café Society opened in Memphis, and in 2007, Café Society welcomed new owner, Chef Cullen Kent, who studied the culinary arts in Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. I enjoyed the Belle Glos Las Alturas Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands 2019 pinot noir.

” In 2007 Carr launched Josh Cellars as a tribute to his dad, Josh, who inspired and influenced the man Carr is today. Practicing sustainability, the grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards in Colchagua Valley, Chile, where the winery is located. It is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
