Margo grew up in vineyards so she knows vineyard management, and what it takes to grow vines and make good wine. When she finishes university and after some time observing vineyards around the world, she’ll settle in at Vintage Longbottom. Her physical location, and that of her vineyards, are now in the Adelaide Hills.

Today there are 80 hectares of established vineyards surrounding the renovated winery. Located in the Municipality of Grosseto, the estate today comprises 105 hectares of mainly Sangiovese proprietary vineyards used to produce Morellino di Scanscano DOCG. The grapes are sourced from vineyards used only for Riserva wines.

More than 25 years ago, the 1990 Matanzas Winery Journey Chardonnay was considered one of the highest priced Chardonnay in Sonoma. At that time, the retail price was $70.
