Northern Iraq at large has a simultaneously storied and fraught multiethnic history , with Sunni Arabs, Shi’a Arabs, Turkmen, Christians, and other minorities like the Yazidis living alongside each other. There’s a Mediterranean fish spot that wouldn’t look out of place in New England. I found something special, beautiful, and new.
