Chipotle is making a push for new hires. The Mexican concept is looking to hire staff members as it enters its second busiest season and on the heels of over 250 new restaurant openings this year. The chain is on track to create over 7,000 new jobs this year, according to a press release.

As a part of its hiring efforts, Chipotle will be launching a new installment of commercials, which will feature testimonials from current staff members. The featured workers will discuss the impact Chipotle has had on their life as well show a look behind the scenes at food preparation. The campaign builds on Chipotle’s “Behind the Foil” documentary-style television promotion.

“Behind the Foil celebrates the heart of Chipotle—our team,” said Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s chief brand officer, in a statement. "There is no better way to make Chipotle more visible, relevant, and loved than to feature our talented restaurant team members preparing our craveable, real food while sharing their authentic stories."

In addition, the burrito chain will take to social media with behind-the-scenes content showcasing the daily life of Chipotle workers.

When it comes to restaurant leadership, the chain is focusing on a promote-from-within culture. In 2022, Chipotle had about 22,000 internal promotions and the company is on tract to surpass this number this year, according to a statement. In addition, over 85% of restaurant leadership started as crew members.

Chipotle is also offering its staff a $200 bonus for referring another staff member and a $750 bonus for referring an apprentice or general manager.
