Former Eataly exec named CEO of Creative Culinary Management

A subsidiary of Jean-Georges Restaurant Holding Co., the group manages the restaurant portfolio of New York City's South Street Seaport neighborhood.

Former Eataly executive Raffaele Piarulli was appointed CEO of Creative Culinary Management Co. (CCMC), which oversees culinary operations at the South Street Seaport in Lower Manhattan.

The neighborhood includes the 54,000-square-foot marketplace at Pier 17 on the former site of the Fulton Fish Market. Among the restaurants there are chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s The Fulton and Tin Building by Jean-Georges.

CCMC was founded in 2020 by Jean-Georges Restaurant Holding Co., to manage the waterfront property’s restaurant portfolio.

Piarulli most recently served as chief operating officer for Eataly, though he had been working with the Italian food-and-grocery concept since it began in Torino, Italy, in 2009. He helped launch the now-45-unit brand in New York and later served as president of North America.
