The New Heinz Verified Program Is More Than Ketchup — it’s about helping enable the success of independent restaurants

Kraft Foodservice

In today’s economic landscape, it is harder than ever for restaurants to succeed, with higher costs all around, from labor to basic ingredients, and the same razor-thin margins.

Heinz recognizes these challenges, and the company wants to do its part by helping these small businesses that are the lifeblood of their neighborhoods and towns. That’s why Heinz has introduced the brand-new Heinz Verified program.

Heinz Verified is the latest program underscoring Heinz’s longstanding commitment to delivering unparalleled quality for consumers and restaurant partners. For over 150 years, Kraft Heinz’s largest brand has gone all-in to ensure its unmistakable taste is delivered every time. The Heinz brand celebrates and prides itself on the irrational love it inspires – from real fans’ personal love affairs with the brand to the undeniable love and care its products are made with. In fact, 84% of customers say they would like a restaurant more if they knew it served Heinz Ketchup.[1] With the Heinz Verified program, Heinz aims to share customers’ irrational love for its condiments with independent restaurants to help them grow their businesses.

Heinz Verified makes Heinz more than just another restaurant supplier, it makes it a trusted partner in a restaurant’s success. When restaurant owners sign up, right away they receive a special badge on the Uber Eats app that lets their customers know they are Heinz Verified. They’ll also appear on a map of Heinz Verified restaurants on the Heinz website and may be featured on Heinz Verified social media channels.

But there’s more. Heinz Verified members also receive access to a range of exclusive benefits. These include:

  • Bundle pricing discounts. The more Heinz products they buy, the more money they save.
  • Free monthly samples of brand-new Heinz products they can share with their customers
  • Access to traffic-driving promotions, funded by Heinz and select partners like Uber Eats. Restaurants that participated in past Heinz promotions that offered discounts on Uber Eats orders from Heinz Verified members saw their customers increase by 47% and 14% more orders.[2]
  • Unique merch, including signs and stickers
  • A downloadable quarterly trend report full of information about new trends and insights to fuel business growth and tips to get ahead

Participation in Heinz Verified is free, and sign-up is as simple as can be. All restaurant owners have to do is fill out a brief online form with basic information about their business and how much Heinz product they already use. Then they can select their preferred membership tier: Member, Bronze, Silver, or Gold. Members purchase Heinz Ketchup only. Higher levels purchase Heinz Ketchup, Mayonnaise, and additional condiments or product categories.

The Heinz Verified program is already underway, with hundreds of participating restaurants across the United States and internationally.

"By introducing HEINZ Verified, we want to help restaurants succeed so communities can thrive – delivering quality and value for both restaurants and individuals through meaningful, best-in-class products and experiences,” said Peter Hall, President of Elevation, North America at Kraft Heinz.

Heinz extends value and support of mom-and-pops that most other manufacturers would never think to offer.
