For an entree, I ordered the poached salmon in Chambord and served with a Port Wine reduction. I would also recommend trying one of the tasting menus with the wine pairing for a unique culinary experience. In 1966, Anton and Zahie Nijmeh opened the diner to serve family, friends, and the community’s delicious home-cooked meals.

Before he started selling them in 2012, local portobello were virtually nonexistent in Hawaiʻi. Last time the state did an agricultural audit, the number of local farms producing mushrooms had tripled, from three in 2012 to nine in 2017, and funghi farmers say that number has continued to grow.

Hardena opened in 2001 thanks to Ena and Harry Widjojo.
