Long rumored, but now confirmed by a construction permit filing, celebrity entrepreneur, TV personality, and culinary tutor Martha Stewart will debut her first restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip at Paris Las Vegas sometime in 2022. Early rumors, first floated by the VitalVegas blog in July, pointed to long-time Stewart friend and hip-hop star Snoop Dogg as a collaborator, but initial paperwork only names the venture as the Martha Stewart Restaurant. A spokesperson for parent company Caesars Entertainment previously chose not to confirm or deny any speculation about a restaurant from Martha Stewart opening at the French-themed casino and hotel. The resort allocated an estimated budget of $100,000 to “selectively” demolish an existing space on the Strip property to make way for the new restaurant.

The discovery follows the recent departure of Steve Martorano’s 5,730-square-foot restaurant Martorano’s at the resort, serving “the best meatball in the world” and “Sunday gravy” since 2014. Martorano’s original location at the Rio shuttered in 2015. The self-dubbed Italian American “cook,” not “chef,” still operates locations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Pittsburgh.

The news solidifies the resort as a hot bed of headline name destinations, with Stewart joining Gordon Ramsay Steak, the grab-and-go Brioche By Guy Savoy, the under construction Vanderpump à Paris from Lisa Vanderpump, and the third local Nobu expansion from Nobu Matsuhisa.

Martha Stewart’s previous brush with the role of restaurateur was New York’s counter-service Martha Stewart Café, located at the base of the West 26th Street office building that continues to house her Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia company. The café closed in 2019.

No details of a possible Las Vegas opening date or menu have been announced.
