Given the state of things in the U.S., Michelin is steering clear from restaurant ranking in cities like Los Angeles and New York, but the French tire company is continuing to award stars to restaurants elsewhere in the world. And last week, the company dropped its 2021 starred selections for Italy.

The dining guide covers the whole country, and its 29 new additions are located in 13 of the 20 Italian regions. There are no new three-star restaurants this year, but the 11 three-starred restaurants from last year retain their status, including Massimo Bottura’s Osteria Francescana. Among the 29 new restaurants, three were awarded two stars for a total of 37 Italian restaurants at that level: Ristorante Harry’s Piccolo in Trieste; Santa Elisabetta in Florence; and Ristorante D’O in San Pietro All’Olmo, which also gets a Michelin Green Star for chef Davide Oldani’s “commitment to young staff and instilling them with local values,” according to the Michelin post.

This leaves 26 new restaurants in the one-star category, bringing that total to 323 restaurants. There’s strong representation from Italy’s culinary new guard, with 16 of the 26 restaurants run by chefs under the age of 35, including Zia in Rome, whose chef Antonio Ziantoni wins Michelin’s young chef award.

The new Michelin guide also includes 252 Bib Gourmand restaurants, 11 of them new. See below for the full list of Italy’s new Michelin stars:
