Eater Snags Six Emmy Nominations

Eater received a total of six Emmy nominations for 2021, across the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards and the 64th Annual New York Emmy Awards, all of which were announced late June. Four of the six nominations are for Eater’s award-winning video team, including the series Mise en Place in the category of Outstanding Culinary Series for Daytime and three nominations for the Best Long Form Informational/Instructional Content category for New York. Eater’s Hulu Series, Eater’s Guide to the World, earned two Daytime Emmy nominations, for Outstanding Single Camera Editing and Outstanding Directing Team for a Single Camera Daytime Non-Fiction Program. Eater’s Guide to the World premiered in November 2020, with each episode showcasing a new, food-filled side of a locale like LA, New York, and Costa Rica.

Eater already has three New York Emmys including a 2020 Best Human Interest Program or Special award for “How One Of America’s Coolest Ice Cream Brands Was Built,” part of the Queer Table series. Winners for the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards will be announced on Saturday, July 17, and winners for the New York Emmy Awards in September.
