November national restaurant sales ended the month just south of neutral with 2022's numbers, after a strong performance mid-month for both segements. 

Fast Casual ended the month at -1% compared to November 2022's numbers and Full Service was not far behind with -2%. Both segments' saw their best performance during the second week of the month with Fast Casual peaking around 6% and Full Service around 3%. 

No stranger to our Movers and Droppers lists, Green Onions snagged the biggest price decrease from October to November, with an average -28% price drop for MarginEdge customers. Everyone's favorite poultry product, Chicken Tendies, wasn't far behind with a -25% drop. Artichokes and eggs topped the Movers list with 44% and 36% increases, respectively. 

The average food category costs as a percentage of sales dropped slightly from last month for MarginEdge customers, with food costs averaging 28% of sales.

Regionally, the Midwest recovered from its drop last month, ending November 2023 neutral with 2022's numbers.
