Family-owned and operated winery, Cline Family Cellars, is pleased to announce the launch of a new range of wines, SEVEN RANCHLANDS exclusively for the on-premise market.

The SEVEN RANCHLANDS range consists of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are presented in screw cap design for ease of use in the on-premise environment, and are affordably priced as by-the-glass and bottle list options.

SEVEN RANCHLANDS will donate $2 of every case sold to local and national restaurant relief funds to support post Covid-19 restaurant recovery.

The wines are primarily sourced from Cline family vineyard estates in Carneros, the Petaluma Gap, Contra Costa County and Tehama County.

“The name SEVEN RANCHLANDS is inspired by the seven ranches that we farm across northern California” said Megan Cline. “The range honors the diverse terroirs that uniquely influence these wines.”

“As a family-owned winery, we are committed to farming practices that are free from pesticides and artificial chemicals, allowing our vineyards to produce grapes that are healthy and brimming with natural fruit flavor and bright acidity. The resulting wines are an excellent complement to good food” said Hilary Cline.

The winemaker behind SEVEN RANCHLANDS is Tom Gendall. Tom joined the winemaking team at Cline Family Cellars in 2016 and was recently promoted to the newly created position of Director of Winemaking and Viticulture.

“Each of the seven vineyards are planted at various elevations, in varied soil types and in diverse micro-climates, providing distinct varietal characteristics for each wine we produce” says Tom Gendall, “our winemaking goal for the SEVEN RANCHLANDS range is simple – produce delicious, food-friendly, sustainably made wines”.

SEVEN RANCHLANDS by Cline Family Cellars highlights:

  • Cline Family Cellars has been solar since 2005 to provide 100% of annual electricity needs sparing the air of 436 metric tons of CO2 annually
  • California Certified Sustainable in both the vineyard and winery operation since 2018

About Cline Family Cellars
Cline Family Cellars, established in 1982, is a family-owned winery in Sonoma, California, built on a passion for winemaking and rooted in respect for the land. Fred and Nancy Cline started Cline Family Cellars in Oakley, California, making the first vintages from original plantings of Mourvèdre, Zinfandel, and Carignane, some of which dated back to the 1880s. In 1989, Fred purchased a 350-acre horse farm in Carneros and moved the winery to Sonoma County. While Cline is most well-known for Zinfandel, Fred was also one of the original Rhone Rangers, and began planting varietals that included a number of vineyards dedicated to Syrah, Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne. Since those first plantings, Fred and his wife Nancy have continued to plant vineyards throughout Sonoma County, expanding to include more classic varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Chardonnay.
