The 40th Annual Telluride Wine Festival is September 23 – 26, 2021.

In the historic mining town that whispers of Butch Cassidy and the Wild West, there’s a celebration of fine wine and fabulous cuisine that’s not to be missed. Renowned winemakers and talented chefs are coming together for the 40th Annual Telluride Wine Festival September 23-26, 2021, for an intimate 4-day wine and food experience.

The award- winning festival was voted Number 6 in USA Today’s 2021-TenBest Readers’ Choice Travel Awards, adding to its previous year 2019 Winner of USA Today TenBest Readers’ Choice Award for 2019 Wine Festival; and awarded Forbes Magazine 2019 Top American Summer Wine Festivals.

This year’s festival coincides with the peak of fall foliage and the annual Telluride Autumn Classic, featuring classic and luxury cars. Against the stunning backdrop of the San Juan Mountains in full aspen splendor 1,500 fine wine and food aficionados will gather to sample fine wines, premium spirits, and craft beverages and mingle with winemakers for reserve tastings, educational seminars, and specially curated wine-pairing lunches and dinners.

“In everything we do, the Telluride Wine Festival strives to deliver a peak experience to attendees while giving back to the local community. Festival attendees meet with wine and spirits producers, tasting and learning. And the weekend supports the local economy, including restaurants, galleries, shops and hotels, said Festival Director Laurel Robinson. The perfect pairing!”

“This year, the health and safety of our attendees and participants is our top priority. The Festival will adhere to all local COVID-19 health and safety mandates as well as the guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),” Robinson added.

Festival Facts:

  • As the oldest wine festival in Colorado, this four-day event not only attracts high-end patrons who own homes in the Telluride area—but also 1,500 affluent wine-lovers from Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, Miami, Las Vegas, and other metropolitan areas throughout the US. Same is true with national media that covers the event.
  • What sets this festival apart is its emphasis on wine education and introducing wine consumers to world-class brands, winemakers, vintners, star chefs and culinary delights instead of being focused primarily on trade like some of the other wine festivals in Colorado.
  • In short, the overall goal at the TWF is to create lasting memories and wine impressions
  • Better yet, all these great events will be happening in the dazzling downtown area of one of the most beautiful high-elevation cities in the world!
