From Provence to Italy and around the globe, these are the best rosés to drink this summer.  These spectacular rosés are dry, crisp, bright, and fresh. They leave you thinking that this is what summer sipping is all about.  Typically rosé wines have been great for summer poolside soirees, but there is also a premium rosé category that is great for year-round consumption and gastronomic wine pairings.  So don’t be afraid to pair some of these delicious wines with your favorite summer recipes.

Château Peyrassol Rosé Côtes de Provence 2022 (SRP $42)

Château Peyrassol embodies all the luxuries of Provence. A rosé that is 100% estate fruit that offers the purest expression of great Provencal terroir, made from selected parcels of mainly old vines.  The wine is elegant and complex, with citrus and white floral notes.  Soft, delicate, and lively, with freshness and salinity makes this an exceptional wine.  This is a quintessential Provence rosé that will pair elegantly with fine cuisine or light summer fare.

Simon Family Estate Tigress Rosé Rutherford, Napa Valley 2022 (SRP $45)

With an almost ethereal light salmon hue, the 2022 Tigress Rosé has ultra-pure aromas of white flowers, jasmine, fresh wild strawberries, and ripe white peach. The palate is fresh with mouthwatering acidity and bright notes of juicy pomelo. A pretty, pleasing texture and elegant fruit flavors linger through a long finish. Made à la Provençale, this Rutherford-born, old vine Grenache is lovely to sip by itself or paired with any light cuisine.

Alma Rosa Vin Gris of Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills California 2022 (SRP $38)

Sourced from Alma Rosa’s El Jabali estate vineyard, this complex yet light and elegant rosé is marked by mouthwatering acidity and oceanic, saline minerality on the finish.  This Rosé is sure to please any occasion, food, or mood that may occur.

Jean-Luc Colombo Cape Bleue Rosé France 2022 (SRP $16)

Cape Bleue Rosé features an ideal balance of Syrah and Mourvèdre harvested in mid-August from stony, limestone vineyards north of Aix-en-Provence in France. This is a rosé of pure elegance with a pleasing pale pink hue, revealing notes of fresh-picked strawberries, cherries, and raspberries.

Mathilde Chapoutier Orsuro Rosé Côtes de Provence 2022 (SRP $21)

Orsuro is full and delicious upon entry, followed by notes of citrus, grapefruit, and white-fleshed fruit, showing a subtle soft character underpinned by a fine acidity, which adds structure and a refreshing finish.  Crisp and fresh, this is the perfect wine to enjoy in the sun on a beautiful day.

Leyda Rosé Leyda Valley Chile 2022 (SRP $14)

Pinot Noir fans will love this rosé from the Leyda Valley in Chile. This rosé is full of tart red fruit and citrus aromas and flavors and is creamy but holds that racy acidity throughout with a well-balanced mouthfeel. It is ideal with summer seafood bakes and soft cheeses.

Barton & Guestier is the oldest wine house of Bordeaux, and a favorite of Thomas Jefferson, with three centuries of winemaking history and award-winning wines. The wine is a pale shiny pink color. Seductive and delicate with ripe red berries and white flowers on the nose. An explosion of fruit. Expressive on the palate with a nice freshness.

Dutcher Crossing Grace Reserve Brut Rosé Russian River Valley (SRP $60)

Grace Reserve is a sparkling non-vintage Brut Rosé.  Made in the classic old world “Methode Champenoise”, using Pinot Noir from their estate vineyard in the Russian River Valley.  The upward shower of bubbles effervescing in the glass turns into a lively and refined feel in your mouth, and the finish is long and clean with mineral hints coated in lemon and tart raspberries. Perfect for any summer celebration.

Borsao Rosé Seleccion Borja Spain 2022 (SRP $11)

Borsao is a delicious wine that has a red luminescent color with a warm glow of copper salmon.  Has a vibrant aroma of berries and white flowers. Very young and fresh in the mouth, well balanced with its acidity, rich in floral nuances and spices. Hints of tangerine and Asian pear permeate this lovely vintage.

Bertani Bertarose Rosato 2022 (SRP $18)

Bertarose is a historic Bertani wine produced since the 1930s; today, it is made from a classic blend of Corvina, Molinara, Corvinone, and Rondinella, which are grown inland hills of Italy’s Lake Garda on young Valpolicella vines. The result is a well-balanced rosé with fresh aromas of berries and spices, sure to be a year-round favorite.

Planeta Rosé Sicilia DOC 2022 (SRP $21)

From the sea to the hills, the Planeta family has vineyards across Sicily, as seen in HBO’s The White Lotus. The harvest started with the Syrah on August 30th, and the Nero d’Avola followed on September 3rd. This summertime staple is lively and fresh on the palate, with lasting notes of meringue and peach.

Veuve du Vernay Brut Rosé (SRP $18)

Numerous and fine bubbles. Beautiful bright, and vivid rosé color. The nose sports fruity scents with forward raspberry aromas. Well-balanced and fleshy, this beautiful wine shows on the palate the same fruity flavors as the nose does. Some acidulous notes on the finish give it a pleasant freshness—a really enticing wine.

Saracina Rosé Mendocino County California 2022 (SRP $20)

From the heart of Mendocino County, CA, comes Saracina’s Rosé of Grenache, grown on sustainably farmed vineyards that are home to 140-year-old olive trees, vegetable gardens, beehives, and local birds and wildlife. Chateau La Coste Rosé Vin de Provence 2022 (SRP $25)
