Programs and prominence are BCAGlobal’s priorities moving forward- February 2023: BCAGlobal continues advancing its mission for Black History Month. Here’s what you should know: over the last few years, BCAGlobal has uplifted the food industry by focusing on BIPOC food culture, culinary excellence, and community wellness. Mindful Eating for the Beloved Community is a new approach incorporating food narratives, interactive, experiential learning, and food recipes and menus based on cultural sensitivity that explores the historical and generational shifts in communities’ food systems. The expected outcome and sustainable impact have affected: the way eating can involve mindfulness, connect health and career success, produce more inclusive and positive work environments, and foster leadership and social accountability for role modeling and mentoring. This program has launched in multiple cities, including the U.S. Virgin Islands, with the generous support of the National Institute of Health.

We also want to recognize someone close to our organization’s heart and part of BCAGlobals’s inspiration, Jefferson Evans. Jefferson Evans was the first black graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and the first black culinary instructor at Johnson and Wales University and The Culinary Institute of America.

BCAGlobal Interview with Jefferson Evans:

Black History Month is an excellent time to support an organization like ours. You can support us by donating on our website, through Paypal and Apple Pay, and through Amazon Smile. https://bcaglobal.org/donations-2/
