Our Favorite Brunch Spots in OKC

Whether you’re visiting The Big Friendly to see a legendary horse show or glamping at Orr Family Farm, take time out of your schedule for a tasty OKC brunch so you can enjoy a mimosa on the range. Do not fret if you are looking for a big city vibe, though. Oklahoma City provides urban aesthetics and activities for nature lovers, which is why it is one of my top travel picks.

favorite brunch in OKC restaurants

There is nothing like grabbing a classy brunch (which, for me, has to include some form of grits) in the city, then heading out to explore the land Oklahoma has to offer – or having a shopping spree downtown after a few bloody marys.

If you are looking for the best brunch in Oklahoma City, look no further – we have rounded up our favorite places for all tastes and palates. Dig in!

Cafe Kacao

3325 N Classen Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118
Phone: 405-602-2883
Visit Website

Located about five miles outside of downtown OKC is Cafe Kacao, an award-winning brunch hot spot. Cafe Kacao is at the cusp of Uptown Oklahoma City, a lively college town with a distinct culture, restaurants, and art scene. Oklahoma City University is in this neighborhood, so there is never a shortage of things to explore.

Cafe Kacao’s menu is extensive and unique, with Latin-inspired flair added to each dish. I recommend enjoying a Horchata Latte and Breakfast Cilantro Burrito from Cafe Kacao and then heading to The Milk Bottle Grocery for a post-brunch selfie. The giant milk bottle is about a mile away, and trust me – you cannot miss it!

The Jones Assembly

901 W Sheridan Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73106
Phone: 405-212-2378
Visit Website

Music lovers, The Jones Assembly is for you! The Jones Assembly is on the legendary Film Row, a district in Oklahoma city known for its past as home to Warner Brothers, Paramount, and MGM. After you finish your brunch at The Jones Assembly, make your way to the 21c Museum, a hotel with an art museum inside featuring local artists. It is directly behind the Assembly on Fred Jones Avenue.

This is my most-frequented brunch place in OKC due to its authentic Oklahoma menu and industrial interior. Their cocktails are top-notch – the Frose is a must. For food, I always order the brioche french toast and the scratch biscuits.

Cafe Do Brasil

440 NW 11th St #100, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
Phone: 405-525-9779
Visit Website

If you want to try something different in the middle of downtown, Cafe Do Brasil fits the bill. With a rooftop bar and colorful interior, this cafe blends elegance with a fun vibe ideal for Sunday brunch. Cafe Do Brasil is in the midtown district, an area filled to the brim with shops and things to do. One of my favorite shops is chirps & cheers, a stationery store a few steps down from the cafe.

Launched in 2005 by Ana Davis, Cafe Do Brasil is a labor of love. Their menu is not for picky eaters, but if you like a diverse meal, it delivers. My favorite thing to order here is the eggs benedict. It is identical to the traditional dish, but with sweet passion fruit syrup and powdered sugar on top.

Packard’s

201 NW 10th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
Phone: 405-605-3771
Visit Website

The original use of the building Packard’s inhabits was as a Packard Automobile showroom in the 20s, which explains the vintage-inspired decor. You will find Packard’s on 10th and Robinson, a short stroll from the renowned Factory Obscura Mix-Tape Museum.

Packard’s will take you back in time with its retro-inspired decor, but their menu is anything but retro. From crunch berry french toast to impossible quesadillas, Packard’s has something for everyone. And, of course, you cannot miss their mimosa carafes! I love the food here, as it is unique but nothing too out of the ordinary. I am always craving a breakfast board or three cheese quiche.

Flint

15 N Robinson Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102
Phone: 405-605-0657
Visit Website

Trying to describe Flint is a challenge, and that is how they like it. Check out Flint inside the Colcord Hotel, and when you finish your tasty brunch, I recommend going across the street to the Devon Ice Rink during the chilly months.

Their offerings are paradoxes – complex but approachable, unique but traditional. All ingredients are from local farmers, and Chef Michael Clark works hard to create an intriguing menu. As a Southerner, I appreciate simplicity. Flint gives me Southern charm without being boring. I adore their vanilla pancakes, and I never leave without at least one hazelnut latte.

Cheever’s Cafe

2409 N Hudson Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
Phone: 405-525-7007
Visit Website

Initially a flower shop owned by L.L. Cheever and his wife, Cheever’s Cafe has a deep-rooted history in OKC. The shop stuck with three generations of Cheevers and a few other owners until landing in the hands of Keith and Heather Paul.

The restaurant hides behind shrubs and trees, but tucked inside is an art-deco-era space with most of the original furnishings still intact. You will find Cheever’s just around the corner from the legendary Tower Theater.

Cheever’s offers a diverse menu, with feasts such as Cowgirl Benedict and their brunch cocktail, Brunch Punch. The concoction changes weekly, so no two are the same. I have enjoyed the Brunch Punch several times, and it has not failed me once.

Waffle Champion

1212 N Walker Ave #100, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
Phone: 405-525-9235
Visit Website

If casual brunch is more of your thing, Waffle Champion is perfect. With counter-style service and an eclectic menu, you cannot go here and not have fun. Waffle Champion is in Midtown, up the street from Cafe Do Brasil. While you are there, take a short walk over to the Greetings From OKC mural for photos.

Do not think that the counter service means poor quality food, though. Waffle Champion is famous for its sweet waffles and waffle sandwiches, but they have avocado toast and other brunch staples as well.

Kitchen 324

324 N Robinson Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102
Phone: 405-763-5911
Visit Website

Inspired by local cuisine and OKC history, Kitchen 324 serves brunch and beverages to locals and travelers alike. Their minimalistic decor and elegant offerings make anyone feel like a million bucks. Late risers, do not worry about not making it to brunch on time.

The kitchen serves its entire menu until 2:30 daily. Check out the nearby Oklahoma City Museum of Art afterward! Kitchen 324 is most famous for its chicken pot pie – a twist on the classic with sherry and thyme. The pot pie is my top recommendation, but they also have delicious pastries like croissants and crullers.

La Baguette Bistro

7408 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116
Phone: 405-840-3047

The French love their food, and that becomes more apparent at La Baguette Bistro. Brothers Michel and Alain opened the restaurant in Oklahoma City shortly after migrating to the United States to honor their family in the South of France. La Baguette Bistro is about a 15-minute drive from downtown.

With their very own Eiffel Tower perched on top of the building, it is impossible to miss. Head towards Uptown, and you are good to go. As someone that personally experienced French food, La Baguette Bistro is the closest I have come to what I had abroad. From the beloved cafe au lait to the Croque monsieur, you will not find a more authentic experience.

Hatch Early Mood Food

Hatch promises next-level brunch, and they certainly deliver. With multiple locations and one of the lengthiest menus on this list, Hatch has brunch for all. Their flagship location is in the historic Buick building, in an area called Automobile Alley.

It faces the Pontiac building (hence the name), and behind it is the Architectural DNA art installation. Hatch offers so much that I like it is almost impossible for me to pick a favorite, but I think I may have to go with GiGi’s Cakes. It is a pancake with a secret ingredient that melts in your mouth.

Juan Del Fuego Mexi Diner

223 34th Ave S W, Norman, OK 73072
Phone: 405-310-2030
Website

If you are up for an adventure, try Juan Del Fuego Mexi Diner just 21 minutes from downtown. It is a local favorite with Mexican-style cuisine. The Sooner Mall is about a quarter-mile away, meaning you can walk off your brunch in style.

Juan Del Fuego is a laid-back diner, ideal if you are passing through and need brunch. Or if you want a quick and simple meal with a spicy twist, it works for that, too! What makes this brunch place shine for me is the blend of Mexican and American food – so whether I want banana pancakes or chorizo, I never leave hungry.

The Press

1610 N Gatewood Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73106
Phone: 405-208-7739
Visit Website

The Press is a one-of-a-kind place that serves Southwestern comfort food. With classic furnishings and fun pops of color, the interior reflects the surrounding plaza district. Another bonus? They serve brunch every day until 4 pm. The plaza district is a historic part of OKC, home to thrift stores and theaters.

Plaza Walls, a modern art museum and installation, is right behind the restaurant – check it out! What I love about The Press is their brunch cocktails. They have more than the traditional cocktails – such as the Michelada (a spicy twist on Modelo), White Russians, Bloody Marys/Marias, and mimosas available by the bottle.

Neighborhood Jam

Visit Website

This brunch place is insanely popular. Neighborhood Jam provides unique fare in several locations, with their original restaurant in Midtown OKC. Note that all locations get busy, and they do not take reservations. Make sure to get on their waitlist to get a table.

Neighborhood Jam’s midtown location corners NW 11th and Dewey, between Cafe Do Brasil and Waffle Champion. There are so many options for customization so you can create your perfect weekend brunch.

Neighborhood Jam specializes in jam and biscuits, so you cannot visit them without ordering some. Their apple butter is almost as good as homemade, and their bourbon pancakes are swoon-worthy.

Picasso Café

3009 Paseo, Oklahoma City, OK 73103
Phone: 405-602-2002
Visit Website

Paseo is my favorite neighborhood in OKC, and part of that is due to Picasso Cafe. Do some local shopping at the Paseo Arts District, where you will find art, clothing, and jewelry handcrafted by OKC businesses, and then enjoy brunch at Picasso.

They serve brunch on Sundays and have an expansive cocktail menu. Most offerings are traditional brunch fare, but some have vegan or vegetarian versions. As an Irish cream fan, their spiked coffee is easily my favorite thing available. In regards to food, the Brunch Board is among the best meals I have ever had – you must try it!
