Where to Get Chinese Food in Tampa

Chinese food is one of our favorite meals to enjoy in a restaurant or when ordering takeout.  When you’re in Tampa Bay and you’re craving Chinese food, you’re going to want to follow this guide to all of the best Chinese restaurants in Tampa. You’ll know exactly where to go the next time you get a craving for something like delicious wontons or crunchy egg rolls.

These are the greatest places to go in Tampa for a succulent Chinese meal. Each one of these restaurants offers their own unique take on both authentic, traditional recipes like Peking duck, as well as the classic American favorites like crab Rangoon. No matter which place you choose, we think you’re going to love it just as much as we do, but we highly recommend trying them all because each one is phenomenal, if you ask us.

Topping off our list is Yummy House China Bistro, located off of East Hillsborough Avenue in East Tampa, and it’s easily one of the best Chinese restaurants in Tampa Bay, in our opinion. What we love most about Yummy House is their absolutely huge selection of incredibly delicious soups like crab meat and fish maw soup, egg drop soup, seaweed soup, and so many more. The soups are a great way to prepare yourself for the entrée portion of the menu. For that, we recommend their spicy XO beef short ribs that come covered in Yummy House’s special XO sauce alongside fresh snow peas. 


Hao Wah Chinese Restaurant

Hao Wah Chinese Restaurant is located off of South Dale Mabry Highway and West Angeles Street in South Tampa, just east of the gorgeous Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, and we think they are one of Tampa Bay’s best Chinese restaurants. They have absolutely delicious food here at Hao Wah, but we really happen to love their boba milk tea selection that includes a medley of flavors like lavender, matcha, coconut, strawberry, and 11 others.

Beijing House

You can find Beijing House off of East Fletcher Avenue just a couple of miles east of the University of South Florida and it’s one of the best Chinese restaurants in Tampa, especially for anyone visiting the college campus. The menu here at Beijing House is massive, so there’s bound to be something that will be delicious and filling. Our favorite thing to order is one of their chef specials, the spicy, crispy roasted lamb shank.  


Liang’s Bistro

Liang’s Bistro is located off of Bruce B Downs Boulevard and North Palms Village Place in New Tampa and they are one of the best Chinese restaurants in Tampa Bay for delicious Asian cuisine in a casual atmosphere. Liang’s Bistro knows noodles better than anything else, in our opinion, so we always order a bowl of their Hong Kong rice noodles with shrimp added on top. They also have a delightful selection of Thai curries here at Liang’s, as well as many vegetable options like Thai basil tofu, not to mention a huge beer and wine list.

You can find Fuzion Spice off of the North Dale Mabry Highway, in the Greater Carrollwood area, and they are one of Tampa’s best Chinese restaurants for things like egg rolls, fried rice, wontons, and much more. Our favorite food to order here at Fuzion Spice is any one of their insanely tasty steamed bao buns filled with either BBQ chicken, crispy Korean tofu, beef bulgogi, or char siu pork.

Right off of North Florida Avenue in the South Seminole Heights neighborhood is Chop Chop Shop, one of the best Chinese restaurants in Tampa Bay, and we love to come here anytime we happen to be in the area. The Chop Chop Shop is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a fantastic build-your-own bowl of authentic Asian-style cuisine. We wholly recommend trying their extremely unique burgers, as well. Our favorite burger of theirs is the Seoul burger, it comes with seared pork belly, kimchi remoulade, and Korean pickled peppers on top.

Red Bowl Authentic Szechuan Chinese Cuisine

Red Bowl Authentic Szechuan Chinese Cuisine is located off of Easter Fletcher Avenue in North Tampa and they’re one of the best Chinese restaurants in Tampa, we think, because of their traditional-style menu and authentic Chinese dishes. When you go to Red Bowl, we recommend ordering their braised beef rice noodle bowl or their mushroom pork ramen because they are our favorite dishes

You can find The Asian Kitchen off of Bayshore Boulevard in South Tampa, just West of beautiful Ballast Point Park and the Tampa Yacht & Country Club. We think The Asian Kitchen is one of Tampa’s best Chinese restaurants thanks to their amazing pho dish called “Pho Sho” that always satisfies our cravings for both Asian cuisine and wordplay. We also love the fact that they have outdoor patio seating here at The Asian Kitchen, so you can enjoy that famous Florida sunshine while you dine on delicious Chinese food.

P.F. Chang’s is located inside the massive Westshore Plaza shopping mall off of West Kennedy Boulevard in South Tampa and they are one of the best Chinese restaurants in Tampa if you want an upscale Asian dining experience. Everyone knows and loves P.F. Chang’s, so we couldn’t leave them off of our list. Our favorite thing about going here is their enormous full bar with dozens of craft cocktails to choose from to go along with our tasty Chinese food.
