St. Cecilia Atlanta

Located on the corner connecting Peachtree Rd NE and Oak Valley Rd NE, St. Cecilia is one of the best spots to experience coastal European food. Featuring a clean and spacious interior that makes you feel like you’re eating at an old-world European restaurant, St Cecilia captures a simple yet thoughtful atmosphere. Put together by chef-owner Ford Fry, the menu features several choices that will satisfy everyone with something, but the seafood and pasta are especially delicious here. I recommend trying the Wood Roasted Bronzino or Halibut Scottato In Padella for entrees and Torta Caprese for dessert.

Sitting a couple blocks northwest of Frankie Allen Park, and just north of the Buckhead Village District shopping mall, The Capital Grille is a spot that you must go to if you’re a fan of steak. What makes the steaks unique at The Capital Grille is the drying process that all of them go through before being hand-carved by in-house butchers and served to perfection. You will not have difficulty finding something appetizing between the main courses, seafood, and chef’s suggestions. While on the more expensive side, I highly recommend the Seared Tenderloin with Butter Poached Lobster Tails if you’re looking for a more savory option!

Canoe is an upscale New American dining restaurant that sits right along the west side of the Chattahoochee River.  At Canoe, not only can you expect to have your taste buds wowed, but you’ll also have all your other senses blown away by the unique atmosphere and setting of being right along the river. The menu at Canoe covers all areas of the dining experience, so whether you go for brunch, lunch, or dinner, the options are extensive. For lunch, the Crispy Shrimp Salad is an excellent choice for seafood, and for dinner, I recommend the Slow Braised Rabbit for a unique taste.

The Bones Restaurant sits just north of the Rose Bar and the Havana Club ATL, so if you’re looking to get drinks at clubs within walking distance, then this restaurant is a perfect choice.  It features a more upscale club vibe, a business casual dress code, and several spacious rooms for private dining. You can host an unforgettable wedding reception, cocktail party, or graduation dinner here. The lunch and dinner menus feature some of the same options, but they have numerous unique options. On the lunch menu, the Caesar Salad with your choice of grilled chicken or grilled shrimp is a simple yet tasty choice, and on the dinner menu, the Broiled Lobster with Lemon Stuffing is great for seafood lovers.

Located northeast of Westside Park, Bacchanalia servers dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.  The elegant architecture of the restaurant features a mix of hard and soft colors complimented by expert lighting, so prepare to be visually taken aback by this location. All of your private dining guests will be impressed whether you’re hosting a business meeting, an anniversary party, or any other special event. Each course comes with six different options, and they are staggered to create an eating experience that evolves as you go. The Crab Fritter, Dry Aged NY Strip, Pierre Robert, and Cheesecake are all quality choices from each respective course.

Pricci Atlanta

Pricci is an Italian restaurant that is directly north of Frankie Allen Park. Here you will find a mix of classy and casual ambiance that brings about a dining experience that you won’t find anywhere else. Being an Italian restaurant, salads, pasta, and pizzas are all the rage at Pricci, and they are all topped off with a wine list that has something for everyone. However, salads, pasta, and pizzas are not all you will find at this establishment.  If you want an entrée with some fish, the Branzino is a good option, and if you want something off the grill, try the Filet Mignon.

Located right off the east side of Northside Pkwy NW, everything about the Blue Ridge Grill gives the warm feeling of being at home.  Everything from the design of the whole building to the design of the plates themselves, along with its unique look reinforces why Blue Ridge Grill is one of the standard setters for style in Buckhead. An excellent taste in décor is not the only area where Blue Ridge Grill has style, though. The lunch and dinner menus have lots of familiar and foreign options, like Grilled Rack of Lamb and the Fried Lobster B.L.T. sandwich.

Another excellent restaurant located just on the west side of Buckhead Village is the Chops & Lobster Bar.  Thanks much in part to top-of-the-line service and food, Chops remains one of the most highly respected steakhouses in the United States, and it is the place to go for some of the highest quality steaks. The Chile Glazed Tiger Shrimp is a great appetizer, and while you cannot go wrong with any of the steaks on offer, the Bone-In Ribeye is the one I recommend getting the most for its pure flavor.

Located on the corner of 7th St. NE and Cypress St. NE, Ecco Midtown offers seasonally inspired continental cuisine that Executive Chef Alan Chandonia crafts.  Ecco Midtown is perfect for hosting a special occasion like a wedding rehearsal dinner, a graduation dinner, or any other big event. Having steak, duck, bass, gnocchi, grilled octopus, and numerous other dishes, you can find a little bit of everything at Ecco.  Suppose you’re in the mood for seafood. In that case, I recommend the seared swordfish, as it is caramelized with cipollini for an added sweetness that tickles the tongue in just the right way.

Located east of Centennial Olympic Park and World of Coca-Cola, Ray’s In the City sits right in the heart of downtown Atlanta.  Founded by restaurant industry veteran Ray Schoenbaum, Ray’s In the City is one of the most popular fine dining establishments in the entire city. And because it is in the center of the town, you won’t have to go far from the most prominent attractions to eat here. Be it lunch or dinner, the menus feature shareable starters, hand-cut steaks, and chef’s creations that will wow you. I highly recommend giving the shrimp scampi & linguini pasta a shot, as it is the epitome of zesty flavor.

The Magret Duck Breast is a prime choice if you are looking for something a little gamier, or you can try the Herb Crusted Lamb Chops. For seafood, the Braised Octopus Crudo is a healthy choice, and you can top that off with Blueberry Brioche Bread Pudding for a sweet dessert!

Atlas sits a little way east of the Atlanta History Center and Swan House at Atlanta History Center.  It features a beautiful interior that is the textbook definition of fine dining with its soothing ambiance and classic décor that takes on a modern twist. And while it is astounding at any time of day, you’ll really appreciate the design if you go at night. The menu features items that change daily to keep the seasonal ingredients and chef selections fresh as often as possible, so there will practically always be something new to try. For the smaller starters, consider the Poached Cod and Black Truffle Pillows, and for the starters, try the Beef Wellington.

101 Steak Atlanta
Source: 101 Steak

Located close to the corner of Paces Ferry Rd. SE and Twin Lakes Dr. 101 Steak is another restaurant that gives off high-class vibes with its classy interior and exterior designs.  As far as the best spots for private dining in Atlanta goes, this one is right up there with the rest of the ones on this list, as you can get seating in the overlook, patio, wine room, bar/lounge area, and main dining room. One of my favorite dishes at 101 Steak is the Overlook Seafood Tower, as it comes with shrimp, crabs, and lobster, though it’s quite a lot of food for one person. For something a little more balanced, you can go for a classic cut of New York Strip with your choice of sides.
